Leading Edge Practices for Regional and Local Freight Plans (APA Transportation Planning Division)

Attendees will learn best practices for development of regional and local freight plans. The presenters will synthesize the lessons learned from the development of four freight plans: the JOHRTS Regional Freight Mobility Plan, the Will County Community Friendly Freight Mobility Plan, the Greater Charlotte Regional Freight Mobility Plan, and the Triangle Regional Freight Plan. Key topics of analysis will be innovative use of data, community and environmentally friendly freight planning, land use and freight, project selection and funding, and the role of freight workforce development.
