Exciting News - APA Arkansas is partnering with 5 other states to bring to you the APA Virtual Cross-Chapter Collaborative 2020. This will replace the AR APA Chapter fall conference.

Please note the call for Session Proposals deadline is July 31, 2020. AR APA is excited to partner with Kansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas APA Chapters for the fall virtual conference. Please mark your calendars and plan to participate.


Keynote Speakers 


Gil Penalosa, MBA, PhDhc, CSP
Gil is the founder and chair of the board of the successful Canadian non-profit organization 8 80 Cities. He is also chair of the board of World Urban Parks, the international representative body for the city parks, open space and recreation sector. Gil also runs his international consulting firm - Gil Penalosa & Associates, is an accomplished keynote speaker, facilitator of strategic workshops and advisor to decision makers and community groups.


Mitchell Silver, FAICP, PP, RTPI (hon.), FPIA (hon.), ASLA (hon.)
One of the nation’s most celebrated urban thinkers, Commissioner Silver has been elected to Planetizen’s list of the 100 Most Influential Urbanists (2017), and named an honorary member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (2017), a fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences (2016), an honorary fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia (2015), a fellow of the American Planning Association (2014), and an honorary lifetime member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (2014). In addition, he has been honored as one of the top 100 City Innovators in the world by UBM Future Cities, and in 2012 the Urban Times named him one of the top international thought leaders of the built environment.
